Aimee Oyenard, PT

I am extremely interested in running gait analysis and functional movement evaluation as I have a history of running crosscountry and middle/long distance track and field competitively throughout high school (Visitation Academy) and college (Saint Louis University). After graduating, I have been involved in research and data collection through SLU regarding chronic lower leg pain in long distance runners.

What Aimee likes best about being a PT:

The profession itself is very dynamic as treatment philosophies and ideas are constantly advancing and changing, and there is always the opportunity for growth and knowledge enhancement with a wide variety of continuing education coursework available for us PTs. In our setting, the patients range immensely in age, diagnosis, and treatment plans, so there is never a boring or monotonous day in the clinic! It is also a profession where sitting at a desk is not an option, so you are constantly on the move and active while working.

Aimee's work history includes:

• 4 years of inpatient/outpatient orthopedics/burns/special care nursery at MOBap and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
• 4 years of outpatient orthopedics at Midwest Physical Therapy.

She was also the assistant coach for cross country and track for 3 years at Visitation Academy.

Aimee's credentials are Masters of Physical Therapy (MPT). She received her Bachelors' in Exercise Physiology from SLU in 2002 and her Masters in Physical Therapy from SLU as well in 2004.
